| We’ve got 150 water butt kits to donate to community groups and schools throughout 2009 to encourage the use of rainwater for gardening. Each kit consists of a 190 litre water butt, with child-safe lid, rain diverter and tap for easy filling of watering cans. Applications are welcome from community groups and schools in the Three Valleys Water supply area. Please click here to find out if we supply your water. Our average customer uses 176 litres of water each day for drinking, washing, cooking, bathing and cleaning and this has increased over the years. To treat water and pump it to homes, schools and businesses uses energy. Collecting rainwater in a water butt is just one way that you can be sure that you’re not wasting precious tap water on your plants and vegetables. |
